Hello and thank you for visiting our website. I am Ian Ward, watchmaker and proprietor of WardiTime. I originally trained as a mechanical engineer and spent many years in fabrication, manufacturing and heavy engineering industries. Later I moved into the IT industry within financial services companies, working in systems development, support and eventually management of specialist engineers.
Watchmaking started as a hobby but grew very quickly into a vocation. I studied manufacturers service documentation and tutorials and repaired hundreds different calibre movements. I have also completed training with Chronoglide Vintage Watch Repair Specialists in the Netherlands.
Now watchmaking is my passion and occupation, running WardiTime - independent watch repair services.
We repair all types of watches - manual, automatic, kinetic and solar powered from many popular brands.
In our repairs we only use original manufacturer branded parts or the recommended alternatives where necessary. We try to maintain the model authenticity and original appearance of the watch.
In quartz watches we always fit the renowned top quality Swiss battery brand Renata, for dependable battery life and consistent performance.
We use industry leading tool and materials brands such as Bergeon, Horotec, Moebius synthetic oils and Elma cleaning products.
Our passion is your enjoyment of watches. Whether it's an inexpensive watch that you really like, a prestige brand or a treasured keepsake, we carefully and economically repair them all.
Most of our business comes from collectors, local customers and through recommendation. We frequently repair watches that have been declined by popular shops and even by brand authorised retailers.
We are also trusted suppliers to the trade, repairing and restoring watches for specialist watch dealers and antiques retailers etc.
Please feel free to contact us and discuss your requirements. Free estimates provided.
